📑 Policies & Guarantees

At ColorSplash Exotics, we pride ourselves on transparency, animal welfare, and providing every buyer with peace of mind. Please read through our policies carefully before placing a deposit or purchasing an animal.

🔹 Health Guarantee

We stand behind the health of every kitten and reptile we produce.

For Kittens (Bengals & Maine Coons):

• All kittens are examined by a licensed veterinarian before leaving.
  
  

• They come with a 72-hour health guarantee to be free from life-threatening congenital illnesses.
  
  

• Kittens also come with a 1-year genetic health guarantee against hereditary conditions.
  
  

• Must be examined by buyer’s vet within 72 hours of pickup/delivery for the guarantee to remain valid.
  
  

• If a qualifying genetic condition is diagnosed within the guarantee period, we offer a replacement animal of equal value (documentation from a licensed vet required).
  
  

For Reptiles (Ball Pythons & Others):

• All reptiles are guaranteed to be healthy, feeding, and free of mites or visible illness at the time of shipping or pickup.
  
  

• We offer a 7-day health guarantee if proper care and setup are provided (must show proof of setup if a claim is made).
  
  

• Sex is guaranteed unless sold as “unsexed.”
  
  

🔹 Refund & Return Policy

• Deposits are non-refundable under all circumstances (see below).
  
  

• No cash refunds are given unless an animal becomes unfit for sale while still in our care.
  
  

• If you are unable to complete the purchase, your deposit may be transferred to a future litter or available animal within 12 months.
  
  

• Once an animal leaves our care, all sales are final. We cannot accept returns due to allergies, housing issues, personal circumstances, or change of mind.
  
  

• In special cases, we may accept an animal back under a return-to-breeder agreement (no refunds, and only if space allows).
  
  

🔹 Deposit Terms

• A $200 non-refundable deposit is required to hold an animal or join a waitlist.
  
  

• Deposits are applied toward the total purchase price.
  
  

• Deposits are transferable to another animal or future litter within 12 months, but not refundable.
  
  

• Buyers on the waitlist will choose in order of deposit received.
  
  

🔹 Shipping & Transport Policies

We offer safe, reliable transport throughout the U.S.

Ground Transport (Kittens & Reptiles):

• Available through trusted animal transport services.
  
  

• Cost typically ranges from $200–$450 depending on location.
  
  

• Fully insured and climate-controlled.
  
  

Air Shipping (Reptiles):

• Overnight shipping via FedEx (hub to door or hub to hub).
  
  

• Weather permitting — we do not ship in extreme temperatures.
  
  

• Live Arrival Guarantee applies only if the buyer is present to receive the package on the first delivery attempt.
  
  

Flight Nanny (Kittens):

• Hand delivery via pet nanny available at buyer’s expense.
  
  

• We do not offer cargo shipping for kittens.
  
  

All shipping/transport costs are paid by the buyer and must be paid in full before release of the animal.

🔹 Buyer Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate housing, food, and veterinary care
  
  

• Follow all local/state laws regarding animal ownership
  
  

• Complete vet check within 72 hours (kittens) to maintain health guarantee
  
  

• Reptile buyers must provide adequate setup (may be requested before sale)
  
  

• Keep us updated — we love seeing our animals thrive in their new homes!
  
  

• In the event you can no longer keep your animal, we ask that you contact us first before rehoming
  
  

🐾 We reserve the right to refuse sale at our discretion if we feel an animal will not be placed in a suitable home.
